All That Heaven Allows

All That Heaven Allows – with Benjamin Edelberg – curated by Jessica Baran

“All That Heaven Allows” explores the intimate violence of assemblage as a sculptural and two-dimensional approach that radically deconstructs conventional materials. The exhibitionʼs
title is taken from the eponymous 1955 Douglas Sirk melodrama that, consistent with Sirkʼs filmmaking, repurposed the tropes of romantic storytelling to describe a vividly coded narrative of desire, anti-convention and social critique.
